Here is an explanation of how things work at PhotographRepairs.co.uk. Firstly, to give you a price quote or estimate for photo repairs, the photograph in need of repairs must be seen by me.
SEND BY POSTAL MAIL: If you send a photo to me in the mail, I use a scanner to scan it at 1200 dots per inch and make a digital copy. The original photograph is not altered, and photo restorations or repairs are made to the digital copy which is then either emailed to you or printed out and sent for you to examine along with a price quote. Your original photo is mailed back.
SEND BY EMAIL: If you send a photo to me via email I can also quote and repair these. Go to your email, send an email to info@photographrepairs.co.uk and use the attach button in your mail to attach any photos to the email. In some cases you can click the underlined text above to send an email also. If you have problems sending several images try just sending one at a time. Soon after your email is received you will receive a price and a view of the photo repairs. If you have a printed photograph that requires restoration or repair, and this has been scanned onto your computer, actual repair work can be carried out on this if you would prefer not to mail the original photo. If so, best results are achieved when the printed photograph is scanned onto your computer at between 360 and 1200 dots per inch before you save the image (JPG).
SEND BY MOBILE CAMERA PHONE: Finally if you have the photo on a mobile phone and do not know how to email it you can send it as a picture message to [+44] (0)7963 449660.
If you are happy with the standard of work that you see with your quote you make payment and work continues until you are satisfied with the results.
